Microsoft Band, terdengar aneh memang, bagi yang belum familiar pasti berfikir tentang sesuatu yang tidak jauh dari musik. Tapi itulah nama dari wearable pertama Microsoft yang dirilis beberapa hari yang lalu. Waerable tersebut merupakan sebuah smart-band yang dapat mendukung semua platform mobile populer dewasa ini.

Walaupun seperti yang dijelaskan diatas bahwa mendukung semua platform mobile populer dewasa ini, tapi smart-band memiliki beberapa syarat. Antara lain untuk platform Windows Phone 8.1 dengan update bluetooth, platform iOS 7.1 keatas untuk iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 dan iPhone 6 plus. Platform Android haruslah versi 4.3-4.4. Semua itu terkoneksi dengan bluetooth.
Pada smart-band ini juga ada microphone dan haptic vibration motor. Microphone untuk berkomunikasi dengan Cortana yang juga terintegrasi dalam smart-band ini. Sementara haptic vibration motor berfungsi sebagai notifikasi.
